Li-ion microbatteries are the frontline candidates to fulfill requirements of powering miniature autonomous devices. However, it still remains challenging attain required energy densities > 0.3mWh cm −2 μ m −1 in a planar configuration. To overcome this limitation, 3D architectures LIMBs have been proposed. most deposition techniques poorly compatible with because they limit choice current collectors and selective active materials. Electrodeposition was suggested as an alternative for rapidly reproducibly depositing materials under mild conditions, controlled properties. despite huge potential, electrodeposition underexplored LIMB cathode materials, partly due challenges associated phases.
